Thankful Thursday

This Thursday I am thankful for my Dad. Well I am always, but today is my tribute to him. My Dad is on kidney dialysis and we are waiting for a kidney transplant, I would give him one of mine but the doctor said no. I am so proud of him. When he comes home from work, the first thing he does is pick me up and hold me. Next we go for a walk and then treats, of course. Every morning he takes me out first thing before he goes to work and then treats , of course. I love to snuggle by him and watch tv. We like to watch fishing shows on Saturday and mostly I sleep. Sometimes I sleep with him and sometimes my Mom, I need to share the love. Dads are great!

licks and sniffs, Sasha
p.s. I need to point out(well Mom is making me) that when I first came to live with my family, I accidently, well sort of, kind of bit him pretty bad and at first we didn't quite see eye to eye. We grew to love each other and that is why I appreciate him so much more, because he let me bite him and forgave me.

Misty did sort of the same thing, what with biting dad and all. They're best friends now, even though dad hates to admit it. He doesn't consider himself a dog person. Lol.

What a great dad! We have a kidney center near our house. I sure wish they let doggies in because I think the people would feel better during their treatment if they had a nice dog to keep them company.

Hey Sasha -

I bet your Dad enjoys the time together as much as you do!! My mom says that she has read many times that us doggies can help make sick people so much better just by being there for them! Glad you decided it's better to cuddle with Dad than to munch on him, hope he finds a kidney soon!!

Sasha I hope your dad gets his kidney real soon. I know what you mean about sleeping with your mom and dad. I need my mom but I worship my dad.
I'm glad he forgave you for biting him. My dad forgave me for being sicker than any puppy should be in his first new pickup in 10 years. I got both seats, they were cloth.

Oh Sasha, we will keep our basset paws crossed for a kidney for your Dad.
We are glad you are getting on well - Martha has taken time to get used to our Dad too. She does not like men much at all but she seems to be making an exception for our Dad which is good!
You and your Dad look so happy together in your pictures.
Good luck Dad.

Hey Sashy,

Aren't Dads great? I love my Dad very much. My first month here wasn't nice 'cos I noticed Dad ignores me a lot and he wouldn't let me sniff his used socks, but now I know he cares for me a lot and even gives his socks voluntarily. I love him.

OH, Sasha... Your love is one of the best medicines you can give your wonderful Dad! I'm pretty partial to MY Dad, too! He is the one that asked me if I wanted to stay the last time I came back from the first home I went to. He is MY person, though I still love Mom a lot!

We are crossing paws for your Dad, and Mom is praying for him that he will get a kidney really soon! BG
