Hi my pals, Mommy says this is a "before" picture. 

I am scared of before what and what will be after.

 Think good thoughts for me as I am being tortured tomorrow at the "Spa"(which I am sure is short for "Suffering Pain and Agony").

Park Day 2013

Hi my pals and Happy Park Day to all of you!!!
I am having fun and joining in
with 

 Gizmo  and  Finn

We have the pizza truck all tuned up and ready to go. We will be traveling throughout the parks all day long. Just listen for our theme song "Cheeseburgers in Paradise" by Jimmy Buffet. 

To make it easier to eat at the park, we made the squirrel and possum pizza into roll ups. You can eat more and you can take them with you.

Park and peanuts just go together, but be careful for the squirrels. They will try to rob you.

We have multiflavored take along bags of popcorn. Try the barbecue muskrat flavor, it is really good.

Choose your own refreshments and help yourself please. We will be having some limits on the beer for some pals(I wonder who??) to avoid any possible problems with parkers.

Feel free to sit a spell if you are tired. Have a great park day everyone!!

Pink Moon and My Angel Remington Watches Over Me

Hi my pals, I am doing this joyfully in honor of Remington.

The April full moon is called the Pink Moon, as named by the Native Americans, and it's coming to the horizons this week. But if you expect to see the moon with a pinkish hue, think again!

On Thursday (April 25, 2013), there will be a full moon on the night of a lunar eclipse. The pink full moon Thursday night will be visible the best to those living in Europe, Africa, and most of Asia, reports The Weather Channel. For those living in North America, the eclipse will not be simple since the full moon takes place in the afternoon when the moon will be under the horizon.

"Beginning at 2:04 p.m., EDT, the moon begins to meet the Earth's shadow; a little over two hours later it arrives under the middle of that shadow," writes The Weather Channel. "By then the moon will have just risen and will be visible low to the east-southeast horizon as seen from Ireland, and will be setting over south-central Japan in the morning hours of Friday, April 26."

Wondering when the ideal time to watch it is? According to Space.com, the pink full moon will be the deepest around 4 p.m., EDT, and will be gone by 5 p.m., EDT.
As for why the moon is given the nickname "pink moon," the National Geographic explains it was named after wildflower.
 
"Northern Native Americans call April's full moon the pink moon after a species of early blooming wildflower," reports the National Geographic. What's more, other cultures have other names for the full moon in April, including: the sprouting grass moon, the egg moon, and the fish moon.

Mommy and I got a package today in the mail and we were super excited! Mommies birthday is Saturday, so I thought it might be for her.

I will let the gift speak for itself.

My sweet Remington always told me "I love you to the moon and back", he must have had this beautiful music box made for me. It was so nice of Beth to send it to us. When you open it, the song plays "My Girl".

I still miss Remington every day, but this was a wonderful surprise for both Mommy and me. It makes me so happy thinking of him every time I open it and listen to our song. Remington brought such joy and now I have a special reminder.

Thank you Beth and thank you Sweet Angel Remington. I will always love you, you and no other.

Preparing for Park Day 2013

Hi my pals, Chef Sasha here, I am so excited for Park Day this Friday. I am working on a shopping list, because my world famous "Pizza Truck" will be there providing refreshments for hungry and thirsty participants.

Storms and Other Stuff

Hi my pals, I hope you are all well and safe and sound. We have had some power and puter problems so I have been away for a few days. I hope I didn't miss anything. We had a bad and very scary storm. I protected my Mommy as best I could from under her chair.

A Nice Weekend

Hi my pals, we had a nice weekend and I hope you did as well.

Here I am telling my family what movie we should all watch together.

Ratatoille!!! The Disney movie about Remy and Linguini.

They listened to me and look Mommy even made Ratatouille to go with our supper. 

 

Mommy loves that movie. Here is a little secret about my Mommy, she always dreamed of being a famous chef. 

 

Whenever there is a movie about cooking or being a chef, she loves it, even if it is animated and about a rat.

 

We had a fun family night watching the movie and eating good stuff and snuggling.

 

 It just doesn't get any better than that!

Safe Housing Needed Please

Hi my sweet pals. I hope you are all looking forward to a nice weekend. I have a few fun pictures I want to share with you.

My Sisters boyfriend had a birthday and he loves cherry pie and horror movies. She made him a Jason Voorheis cherry pie. It was yummy, I got to have a little.

She also made him graveyard cupcakes for another party. These were also very yummy.

This is very impawtant.

 I heard Mommy making an appointment for a haircut torture session for me next week.

 

 Can any of my sweet wonderful pals let me stay with them until she gets over this phase???

A Story of Bravery

Hi my sweet pals, thank you so much for your response to my tribute to Angel Remington. We will be making a donation to his favorite charity and Mike and Beth will match it. I know Angel Remington is watching over us proudly.

  Mom found this wonderful story about a very brave dog named Amanda. Please read it with joy and have a wonderful weekend. 

 During an early morning response to a house fire, firefighters were amazed...

A Mother dog risked her life to save her puppies from the fire surrounding the

burning house...

The Mother dog, Amanda, raced back and forth between the house, putting her

10 day old puppies in the safest place she could find - a Fire Truck! ... 

As a onlooker photographed it with his cell phone after she already had a few in

one of the truck's equipment compartments.

She didn't stop racing back into the smoke and fire until all of her puppies

were safely away from the fire. 

The firemen on scene could not believe their eyes. Most people have never

seen a dog this smart or this brave!

Bringing each one out, six trips into the fire and no one could stop her. 

All the fireman could do was to try to keep a little water spray on her to keep

from singeing as she kept making trips running through the open door.

You can see some of the singed hair on her back end, forehead and lower legs.

After rescuing all of her pups from the blaze, Amanda sat down next to them to

nurse, protecting them with her body.

Onlookers called an emergency veterinary service and she and her pups were

rushed to the hospital.

Aside from one puppy being treated for serious burns, the entire family are

alive and well!

Thanks to the bravery of Amanda! What a heroic mother! How Great!!!

A Tribute to my Sweet Remington

Hi my pals, it has been a month since my Remington crossed the Rainbow Bridge and became Angel Remington.  I miss him every day. I know he would not want me to be sad. I think of him across the Bridge and I smile now. He is running free and surrounded by friends, playing football and just catching huge sun puddles. He is happy and free and that makes me happy. I will join him one day and we will run together. For now I am happy to be here with all my memories and pals here. We are all lucky to have known him at all.

 Run free my sweet Angel Remington. I will howl with you every full moon.

 He always told me, he loved me to the moon and back.

We posed for a portrait. It was a wonderful day. We giggled together. Remington held me up so we looked like we were the same height.

Remington loved football and was a huge Vikings fan when he lived in Minnesota. He was offered a job working for the Green Bay Packers and his family moved to Wisconsin. He loved both teams and divided time between them offering his advice and training.

He always found time for me.

He gave me his ring and asked me to go steady with him. I said yes of course!

This was the event we went to for our first date 2/14/2012

He gave me this blanket and I sleep with it every night.

He was so smart and always taught us all what he learned

So handsome!!

I love this picture.

I know I will always think of him playing "snow football", his favorite sport.

I will always love you Remington, you and no other. I feel your free spirit running through me and it makes me feel safe knowing you are watching over me every night.
