A Story of Bravery

Hi my sweet pals, thank you so much for your response to my tribute to Angel Remington. We will be making a donation to his favorite charity and Mike and Beth will match it. I know Angel Remington is watching over us proudly.

Mom found this wonderful story about a very brave dog named Amanda. Please read it with joy and have a wonderful weekend.

During an early morning response to a house fire, firefighters were amazed...
A Mother dog risked her life to save her puppies from the fire surrounding the
burning house...
The Mother dog, Amanda, raced back and forth between the house, putting her
10 day old puppies in the safest place she could find - a Fire Truck! ...

As a onlooker photographed it with his cell phone after she already had a few in
one of the truck's equipment compartments.
She didn't stop racing back into the smoke and fire until all of her puppies
were safely away from the fire.

The firemen on scene could not believe their eyes. Most people have never
seen a dog this smart or this brave!
Bringing each one out, six trips into the fire and no one could stop her.

All the fireman could do was to try to keep a little water spray on her to keep
from singeing as she kept making trips running through the open door.
You can see some of the singed hair on her back end, forehead and lower legs.
After rescuing all of her pups from the blaze, Amanda sat down next to them to
nurse, protecting them with her body.
Onlookers called an emergency veterinary service and she and her pups were
rushed to the hospital.
Aside from one puppy being treated for serious burns, the entire family are
alive and well!
Thanks to the bravery of Amanda! What a heroic mother! How Great!!!

p.s. this is how I plan on spending the weekend.

OMD, I seened dat!!!!! You knows, her was indeed very brave and courageous...but her is a mother and dats what moms do. I thinks dat is da only similarities between hoomans and animals...da mother instinct, to always protect even if it cost a mom her life.
It is such a beautiful story!

Did you miss me? {Okay, that was part of a Tony Stark/Iron Man line from "The Avengers". Very cocky and self-centered, actually!!} Well, I have appeared missing in action so to speak around everybody's Blogs lately. To complete my Secretive Writing Project. Well, I'm baaaack!! Did you miss me? Hee, hee, hee.... ;)
I love your Blog background!! Daisies are my favorite flower!! And roses, of course!! But, don't you think that daisies are the friendliest flower? ;-D
I missed your tribute to Remington. However, the other morning, I saw the moon through clear blue skies, and thought of him fondly. I shared this with Mike and Beth. ;)
What a heartwarming story!! It kind of reminded me of Percy keeping her puppies safe from Cruella DeVille in Walt Disney's animated film, "101 Dalmatians"!! ;op
Love, Raelyn.... Plus Rose, my BEAUTIFULLY UNIQUE "Mystery Dog"!!
