HAVE A ZIGGY KIND OF DAY!!!

My Pals, I survived!

Hi my pals, what a day I had today. I got up and went outside for a walk and potty, came back in and had a lovely breakfast and fresh water, the day was going beautifully.

Next... dun dun dun DUN...I got to go for a ride in the car...to the park, I am hoping...NO it was the Vetlady. I had to spend the whole day there, being tortured and beaten down..."Sasha tell the truth"...ok they didn't beat me.

 Here is before,
and after.

When my Mommy and Daddy finally came to get me, they had a nice surprise. The Vetlady said that I was a very, very good girl. She said VERY 2 times!! The girls that helped me said I was the best ever and I only got mad when they trimmed my toes(that is not my thing). They asked Mommy if she gave me drugs, the nerve of them! They were only joking of course, but Mommy and Daddy were so proud of me.

I would love to tell you more but I am kind of,
ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ

Sashy is sleeping so this is her Mommy. Sasha has terrible skin itchy problems and after much time, they have finally determined that she should avoid corn, wheat, chicken and beef products. We are hoping this will help. My daughter is shopping for some duck, salmon, venison kind of food and treats with very little filler. If you have any suggestions I would love them. I hope this helps, she is on antibiotic for an ear infection and if the itching doesn't get better, she will be back on steroids. We are hoping to avoid this as her personality changes when she is on them and the Vet is worried about her being on them too often.

 Happy 4th everyone!!

 Loveys Sasha

Sorry you didn't get to go to the park. At least your short hair cut will keep you cooler. I hope your itchies go away soon.

Maybe you could make your own dawg food? To be sure it doesn't have corn and wheat fillers in it!

We feed a grain free salmon based food. Our dogs don't have skin issues, but the food that works best for them (and we have tried a ton) is Taste Of The Wild Pacific Stream. To explain why, we have to talk poop...lol. We have to be careful because our dogs are so active and it is hard to keep weight on them. That is why we stick to TOTW, but it isn't the only brand out there. There are a lot of good salmon and duck based foods that are grain free.

Hope you find one that works and takes care of the itchies.

Tank had chronic ear infections until a vet suggested to me to change his food. Since he's been eating "Nature's Recipe" senior (lamb meal and rice and contains no corn or wheat) he hasn't had any ear infections! It's been several years now and no problems at all. I think "Nutro" also has a variety of food that is similar, but it's more expensive. We used to buy Nature's Recipe biscuits too, but recently they dropped the senior variety which was the one without corn or wheat. We've found that "Blue" and "Nutro" both make biscuits without the corn and wheat though. Good luck!

Oh Sasha! What a terrible day you have had. We don't like any visits to the vet even though the vet folks are very nice.
Maybe a good night's sleep will make you feel better.

Anne, getting rid of the chicken is tough but I do know Hill's Science Diet makes a grain free dog food.

Happy 4TH!

WOW you went to the vetlady and you lost your furs! That has not happened to me. Looks like you are getting all kinds of good advise. My friend Belle has ichies and she eats raw honey and it helps. But her ichies are because of allergies.

There are some very good fish based kibbles out there that are corn free and grain free. You can find lots of ideas at Mr. Chewy, both for kibble and treats.

We think you new cut is very cute and we sure hope your ear infection and your itchies go away soon.

Da vet peoples never use VERY 2x when I go...hehehe. Kiddin...no, really I am! They LOVE me there.
I don't thinks da My Ties has any corn so you'll be safe.

On a serious note...I is on Benadryl and/or Hydoxazine fur my itchies not just furs my allergic reactions. I itch sometimes...okays A LOT of times. My food has been switched so many times I lost count.

Hey Sasha!
Wow, I love your header pix! You obviously were a super-good patient for the dogtor and you deserve some extra loving and toys for that. You look very beautiful with your Summer trim. My Mom makes me a salmon kibble that is very good...I'll share the recipe if you want. Hope you feel tons better soon!

Taste of the Wild is grain free and has various sources of protein.

I'm eating Innova Prime and they have a fish variety but Mrs. Master is feeding me the chicken now b/c it's less expensive. CHEAP-O!

My sissy Cinderella is allergic to chicken, so we eat Nature's Domain Salmon & Sweet Potato. It's grain-free too! You can buy it at Costco. It's a really high-quality food for not much green papers!

Oh, Sasha, you and I, in our sickie beds, huh? I'm feelin' better today, I hope you are too!
My vettie says she thinks my ear infections are allergy based, too.
Next, is trying a food switch. But, I have tummy problems too, and switching could make that worse....oh, what us pups go through, huh?!!! Be well, my friend!

Kisses,

Ruby

Mommy feeds us grain free kibble. That keeps us from having the itch scratchies.
Love your new do, Sasha. It looks lovely.
Hope you had a nice nappie. I know it takes a lot out of a girl to be so good while at the vet.

Wow, Sasha!! There is like nothing left of you! I mean, if they do that screened door thing for bugs like they are talking about for the Ollympicals, then you'd fit through with no problem!!
