Frankie Friday!!!!!!!!!

Hi my pals,today is a very special day in blogland. It is...drum roll please...FRANKIE FRIDAY! My pals I truly love me my pal Frankie and of course his little brother Ernie. Frankie has about the coolest blog ever, its like 87 bazillion times cool. I always can't wait to check it out and there is so much to learn from him. He has taught me about gardening, new foods to try, gift giving, well the list goes on and on. Frankie is a true pal, I think if I needed him, he would be at my doorstep in like 87 seconds to see what I needed. I love you Frankie.

I am sending like 87 million magic bubbles your way full of love and hope and peace, but mostly love.  I am also sending a box of cigars for you to celebrate your day with. Enjoy!

My Mommy(made me)took a break from blogging and when we came back it was almost time for the Valentines Pawty. I was feeling a little sad cause I didn't have a date so I went to Frankie for advice(who better than the Mayor?). He suggested Remington Steal and well the rest is history. I have Frankie to thank for my sweet Remington and I will be eternally grateful. I hope you have the best day ever. Its almost Friday!!

Hi my pals, I am so excited for this weekend. Its some kind of holiday, but all I know is my Daddy is home for more days and my Sister and her Boyfriend will be here. Daddy will be cooking on the grill OMD that is my favorite!! Mommy LOVES the Farmers Market and she is excited to go there also. The pictures on here are from last year when she visited, but everything looks so good, she wanted to share it.

It is supposed to rain here on and off, so I want to be prepared

Mommies favorites raspberries, she can eat the whole box of them.

Hi my pals, I had a very busy weekend. My Daddy was sick with a bad cold and sore back. I had to snuggle with him all weekend and keep him warm and give him comfort. It was a very hard job and I am exhausted. I think I will rest today. How was your weekend??

A wonderful trip to the park

Hi my pals and I hope you are all having a great day. I got to take another wonderful trip to the park with my Sister and her Boyfriend. It was a beautiful day and we enjoyed every minute of it.

" We are just grazing in the grass and enjoying the scenery. We took time to smell the grass or roses or whatever the saying is."

"What shall we do first? I would love to take a walk by the lake, maybe Bert is in there swimming."

"Wow it is beautiful, but please don't throw me in. Hold me tight."

"Walking on the dock of the bay, watching the tide roll away"

"Lets take a good roll in the grass, just turn over on your back and roll back and forth. Don't forget to kick your legs and really stretch. If there is some bird poo,that makes the roll even better."

"That was a nice walk now for a rest. I hope you brought snacks."

"Thank Dog you did! Water and snacks, what more could a pup ask for?? What you want me to beg? I have worked hard enough today. Do you have to beg for your snacks?"

It was a wonderful day and we brought the kites again, but there was not enough wind. Maybe next time. I love park adventures. What did you do for fun??

Happy Cinco De Mayo and a pressie from Jazzi

Hola mi Amigos! Happy Cinco de Mayo. Mi Mama and I are getting ready to make a quesadilla feast to celebrate. There will be nachos also and plenty of sangria(non alcoholic for me) and cerveza. If you are near by please stop in(preferably before Mama has too many cerveza's) for some food and fun. We will be doing the pinata later on also.

I am so excited to tell you that I won a prize for Jazzi's tye dyed birthday celebration. Jazzi @ Jazzi is the sweetest pal ever!

I got an otter stuffy that squeaks, it doesn't get any better than that and a very pretty purse.

Mommy likes to use the purse to carry things for my walks, like poop bags and water.

I just like to play with it. Mommy puts the stuffy inside and I get it out, this game can go on for quite a while. I am a lucky pup to have such cool and generous friends. If you don't know Jazzi, please visit her, she is a great pal to have.

Hi my pals, I hope you are all having a good day. Mommy and I saw another article about bad treats from China and we wanted to make sure everyone knew about it.

On the Veterinary Information Network, several veterinarians have reported cases where dogs have developed symptoms of kidney failure (Fanconi’s syndrome) similar to dogs who have been poisoned by Chinese-made chicken jerky treats.

So far, the brands implicated are all made in China:

• Beefeaters Sweet Potato Snacks for Dogs
• Canyon Creek Ranch Chicken Yam Good Dog Treats (FDA has issued a warning on this product)
• Drs. Foster and Smith (exact item not specified in the report)
• Dogswell Veggie Life Vitality

There was also speculation that the problem may also extend to pork products (pig ears) and cat treats made in China. Australian veterinarians have reported similar symptoms from chicken jerky treats, as well as several cases associated with “Veggie Dents,” a dog treat made in Vietnam by Virbac, an American company. Virbac recalled one batch of Veggie Dents in Australia in 2009.

The FDA still claims that there is no pending recall of Chinese-made pet treats, even though it has repeatedly issued warnings about the problems associated with chicken jerky treats since 2007.

 Symptoms of Fanconi’s syndrome include: Increased drinking and urinating “Accidents” in the house Reduced appetite Weight loss Weakness Blood and urine tests show azotemia (high BUN and Creatinine), dilute urine, and glucose in the urine (that isn’t diabetes). Most affected dogs have recovered over time with good supportive care.

 We strongly recommend that you check the source of all cat or dog treats you may have purchased, and do not give them to your pet if they were made in China. It would be best to avoid any pet food or treat products made in China, and probably a good idea to avoid all dried animal parts, because they are not heated to a temperature that will kill pathogenic bacteria.

My pals, we can never be too safe, so please be careful and check your treats.
