Settling in and getting used to my new hairdo.
My friend Maverick didn't recognize me at first. Then we played sniffy butts and it was ok.
I have to admit, it is cooler now when I go out to play, I don't get so hot.
I still don't think its fair. Just say no to haircuts! Right Bilbo?

Fortunately we don't need haircuts but we do need the rest - baths, nails clipped etc.
It is a hard life sometimes being a dog.

We are glad your friend recognized you - we dogs rely more on smell than sight so we don't really care what any of our pals look like!!!

The teacher that Mom used to work for always said, "The Fair comes in the fall, and you have to pay to get in!" I guess that means that there really isn't a "Fair" in life, unfortunately. I guess we all have hard times, and I'm just so glad we have people who love us enough to do what needs to be done to take care of us properly... even if WE don't like it! OC

Sasha, haircuts are good in the summer it makes it cooler. Mommy brushes me a lot to get rid of fur so I won't get too hot. Brushing is very good too.

Ahh, nothing like a good butt sniff to get reacquainted we always say. We don't get haircuts, heck, we're lucky if we get combing and brushings. We do get tick checked and regular ear cleanings. Swims in the lake suffice for "bath." That haircut thing is kinda restrict to FooFoo breeds. Once in a while one of us will hane to get a mat cut off or have our feathers trimmed a bit, but that's the extent of it. No haircuts, no bows, not fancy ribbons and no perfume or claw painting. It doesn't fit our big dog image. You sweet and cudlies can have that stuff. We're glad that you're cooler with your new haircur though.
