Keep Hydrated During Marathon Training


Hi my Pals as you know the Mayorz Marathon is coming soon and I know you are all out working hard to get ready for it.


Today I would like to stress the impawtance of drinking plenty of fluids during your workouts. There are many ways to do this.



I am too short for this method, but I am told by other pals that it does work. Please be careful not to fall in.


With this method, you can get fresh water from home and have your trainer carry the bottle for when you need it.





I can tell your from experience that puddles(not Puddles) can be quite delicious. Be careful to sniff first to check for strange odors. My Mom does not approve of this, but I have a hard time passing one up.


These outdoor free water stations are nice also, but again, I am short so it works better for a larger pal.






I know these are often used for beer, but if you can find one that fits, water can be used and you will have it with you whenever you need it.

 I am sure you can come up with other ideas on your own, but the point remains, drink lots of fluids while training.


My sweet BFF and Pal Ruby will encourage another kind of liquid, but I recommend this after training. I can tell you from experience that you won't get much done after a few of these.





"What did we do last night??"

"Why does my head hurt??"

Here I am after a night of drinking with Ruby, so I suggest water for training, Rubyritas after training is done.

"Seriously Ruby, what was in that drink???"



I hope you found this information helpful. I will continue with lesson 2 of  foods to eat while training soon.

We are showing our Lady that we need to be drinking out of the toilet. She keeps the tops down, but we need to hydrate for the marathon!

Mommy said thank goodness we're too short also to drink out of toilets!

We could use one of Ruby's special drinks right about now.

Those sorts of PUDDLES are truly delightful.... we never pass one up...
OMD you are SO RIGHT, Chef Sasha... save the Rubyritas for AFTER the run... otherwise you will only run in CIRCLES
We don't think they give out prizes fur crossing the STARTING Line 87 times...

We had no idea that a toilet bowl could be used as a huge drinking dish for us. Our evil mom keeps the lid down so she must already be aware of that fact.

We have employed several of those methods. Yes, be careful with those drinks Ruby makes. They go down real easy!

We love the cold water in our bowls best - Mom keeps it in the fridge for us. We always try to drink from those puddles on our walks, but nope, Mom says no, no, leave it!!! Great PSA, Sasha.

Unfortunately like you Sasha I am to short to try the throne but I do have that exact water carrier.
I will see you at Mile 16 because I am DJing Mile 16. Make sure you tell everyone what carbs they need to make it to Mile 16.

Our parents always keep the lids down so we don't try that.
Staying hydrated is VERY important!

We are a "lids down" family too. Otherwise, I get SO grossed out.

Will there be Rubyritas served to marathon finishers? That would fun!
