Skunks As Pets? Ohio Woman Says Yes, Indeedhttp://www.peoplepets.com/news/strange/skunks-as-pets-ohio-woman-says-yes-indeed/1
Some of us are dog people. Some of us like cats, horses, birds -- even pigs. Deborah Cipriani, 51, loves skunks. Yes, skunks -- as in black and white, Pepé Le Pew, back-off-or-I'm-going-to-spray-you-with-fumes-so-noxious-it'll-make-your-head-spin skunks. But Cipriani will tell you that skunks come in a wide array of colors, not just black and white, and that keeping them as pets is no different than having a cat or dog to love. Every morning, Cipriani rises at 6 a.m. to feed her pet skunks before leaving for work. "I have an office job that supports my skunk habit," she jokes. Cipriani politely declines to reveal exactly how many skunks she currently has, but will say that she has 40 to 50 litter boxes strewn around her house that she cleans twice a day. It takes close to an hour to feed each of her skunks a breakfast of 1/3 to 1/4 cup of frozen vegetables and their supplements. At night she feeds them holistic dog food mixed with an array of fresh vegetables, fruit, chicken, yogurt, cottage cheese or cereal. "Between the food and the supplements, it costs about $600 a month," Cipriani tells PEOPLEPets.com. "You have to feed skunks the right diet, including calcium, or else they'll lose bone density and start crawling."
licks and sniffs to all my pals Sasha
p.s. Mommy is feeling a little "under the weather" so she won't be doing my tailgate recipe post this weekend. I think"under the weather" means that she keeps running to the potty and staying in there forever and I don't want to be"under the weather". I will take care of her that is if she ever comes out .

Hey Sasha,
We bet that lady's skunks have all been fixed, and we don't mean spayed or neutered. Could you put a comment on our blog with Mollie &n Bobo's blog address so we can go look at it? We hope that your mom feels better soon and is on top of the weather instead of under it.

Sasha,
I not really sure what to make of the skunk lady. She seems really odd, and she won't say how many she has. I hope your Mommy feels better.

Hmmm... wonder if she's married. Mommy thinks more than 3 would be excessive. I'm glad she prefers me!

Sorry your mom isn't feeling well - we hope she is all better soon. Perhaps she ate something nasty.
We don't think you are smelly at all - it is a human obsession - dogs are NOT smelly!!!
love you lots

First, let us say we hope your Mom feels better soon - we know firsthand what it's like to have to care for Moms.
That skunk lady is "one of a kind" - 40 to 50 litter boxes - yuck!! She needs to train them to go outside like we do.
XOXO

Sasha, our Mom said that she can't possibly imagine how an adorable girl like yourself could ever stink. She doesn't believe it for one second! Baths aren't all that bad though. We actually enjoy that scrumptious warm water all over. That is a very interesting story about the lady with the skunks. And we are sorry that your Mom is feeling sick. We hope she feels better soon.
Chihuahua kisses,
The Munchkins
Sure hope your mom feels better soon.
As for the skunks...well, naturally the woman lives in Ohio!
Actually, a mother skunk was killed on the road by the barn where I keep my horse. A nice couple (who also have horses at my barn) took the skunk babies home.
Their cat had kittens and nursed the skunk babies too...it was awesome to see!
And, I'm sure you don't need a bath Sasha. A little dry shampoo maybe!!!
Our Momster is always worried about a skunk finding TD outside at night.
Hope your Mom feels better soon.
